Peak Performance for Endurance Athletes: Your Ultimate Guide to Strategic Fueling
Peak Performance for Endurance Athletes

This 7-part series will give you all the tools you need as an endurance athlete to create a personalized everyday eating and performance nutrition plan, while also improving health and your relationship to food and body. All on your own timeline, and with lifetime access to course materials.

Peak Performance is the culmination of my 10 years of experience as a Sports Dietitian, as well as my 30+ years as an athlete. Let me help you, as I've helped countless others, fuel and perform your best while still living and enjoying your life!

Nutrition has a MASSIVE impact on how we perform, both in sports and in our daily lives. The problem is that many people are confused, struggle with eating enough, and/or lack evidence-based knowledge and practical tips to achieve and sustain their health and athletic goals. That's why I created this course - to cut through the nutrition noise and teach you how to create a nutrition plan that works for YOU and your unique body.

If you're not sure you need this course, does anything below resonate?

  • You're overwhelmed by all the conflicting nutrition information out there and don't know what to eat, when, or how much for optimal heath and sports performance.
  • You're sick of getting injured and not hitting your athletic goals.
  • You're exhausted all the time, especially after a long or hard workout.
  • You're struggling with GI issues, either during or outside of exercise.
  • You DNF'd a race because of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cramping, or other fueling-related issues, and you need help making a plan tailored to YOU and your event.
  • You're new to endurance sports and need to learn how to fuel/hydrate before, during, and after exercise.
  • Your iron (ferritin) is always low and you don't know how to fix it without chronic supplementation.
  • You're confused by the supplement world and what you should take, if anything.
  • You feel like crap but your physician keeps saying that your bloodwork looks "normal."
  • You're scared to eat more, especially carbs, because you're afraid you'll gain weight.
  • You're training for a big event and want a killer fueling and hydration plan.
  • You've heard about carb loading but you don't know how to do it properly.
  • You're a heavy and/or salty sweater and need guidance with your hydration plan.

Whether you're a runner, triathlete, cyclist, swimmer, or winter sports athlete, I've got you covered. This course has 8 hours of video/audio content addressing all of the above and SO MUCH MORE in easy-to-understand terms.
Don't want to be tied to a screen? No stress - I include audio-only files so you can listen to the entire course podcast style. Don't worry about taking notes - you get 17 downloads (mini guides and worksheets) that capture the most important parts of each module.

If you're still wondering if this course is for you, I want you to imagine giving your body the fuel that it actually needs, rather than constantly putting nutrition on the back burner or trying to get away with the bare minimum. What do you think would happen?

I can tell you what I've witnessed and learned from working with hundreds if not thousands of athletes at all levels. Feeding yourself adequately and fueling exercise fully will not only help you crush your training and racing goals, but will also improve things like energy levels, sleep, recovery, mood, gut function, and other health markers. You may notice fewer extreme cravings, swings in hunger, struggles to "control yourself" around food, bouts of illness, injuries, and more. You may actually be able to think about something other than food all the time, and instead focus on living and enjoying your life and your sport.

Sounds pretty awesome, right?

FAQs

This course is for endurance athletes. How do you define that?

An endurance activity is anything longer than 90min, or we can even say anything longer than 60-90min. If you are doing this on a regular basis - say once a week or more - you will greatly benefit from what I'm teaching in this course.

As for athlete, I call anyone moving their body intentionally through exercise an athlete. If you don't want to define yourself as such, that's totally fine - you still need to take your fueling seriously.

So if you're a runner, triathlete, cyclist, swimmer, or winter sports athlete, this course is for you.

Note: I give many sports specific fueling examples, but most focus on road running, ultra running, and triathlon.

Your course seems to focus mostly on performance nutrition. Do you also cover everyday nutrition?

Yes, I do! Everyday eating is a MASSIVE topic, so I couldn't go super in depth while still comprehensively covering performance nutrition. That said, everyday eating is the foundation for everything, and we must focus on that as well as the overall health of an athlete before looking at nutrition before, during and after exercise.

You will get everything you need in this course to get you started with daily nutrition goals and practical strategies. Module 1 is completely focused on everyday eating. Module 3 covers what to eat before exercise in great detail, Module 4 teaches how to eat for recovery (which is not just the meal or snack right after exercise, but also the rest of the day), and Module 6 addresses how to consume key nutrients through food to prevent and/or treat deficiency. So a big chunk of this course covers the everyday.

Will I have any access to you in this course to ask questions and get personalized advice?

If you purchase the course on its own, no. This is a self-paced, pre-recorded course without any live sessions or 1:1 access to me. I created this course as a way for people to work with and learn from me at an affordable rate, and that is why I chose this format.

If you'd like to work 1:1 with me, I am offering special services to students of this course only, including a 20-min private Q&A session and a Fueling Plan package (2 x 30min 1:1 sessions), both heavily discounted from my normal rates. I'm also offering $150 off my 2- or 3-month 1:1 nutrition coaching programs if you want to go all-in. These offers are available on my Practice Better booking page.

How long is each module and are there any downloads available?

This course is very heavy on education. I did not set out to give you a surface level presentation on each topic - I wanted to give you adequate background and cover everything in depth. That is why this course, in total, is 8 hours long and has 17 downloads.

Each module varies in length. The shortest module is around 45min and the longest one is nearly 2 hours, split into two parts. Each module has 1-4 downloads, including homework assignments or worksheets and a 3-6 page mini guide containing all the key info, visuals, guidelines and tips from the module, to help you get the most out of the course content. I want you to be able to enjoy and be present during each module, rather than feel pressured to take lots of notes.

Please note that these PDFs are only intended for the person who purchased the course. Please do not circulate these documents, as they are also available for individual purchase separate from the course.

What if I only want to listen to the course, is that possible?

Yes - as you know I love podcasts and I wanted to make each module available as both video and audio only files. You can't download the modules to protect my content but you can listen to the audio only through Teachable. Most of the audio makes sense without the visuals, as I explain most of what's on the slides.

Do you have testimonials from prior clients?

This is my very first course so I don't have feedback on the course yet, but I do have TONS of testimonials on my website from former 1:1 clients, and you can read them all here.
